Twisted Ponytail (With Photos:)
After I took my braids down, and used the Grow It Method for cleansing and detangling, I put Oyin Handmades Whipped Pudding on my hair after t-shirt drying (stayed away from towel to prevent frizziness-don’t know if it works yet but like trying it for now:). I washed my hair with As I Am’s Cleansing Pudding and deep conditioned with their Hydration Elation (the bomb!).
I LOOOOVVVVVEEEEE this Whipped Pudding. It leaves my hair shiny, soft, moisturized, conditioned and it smells good. I live in the desert and typically have dry hair anyway so this gives me enough moisture for a few days…which is saying A LOT for Lavish! Did I say I love the smell of this? My daughter calls it “cookies.” She always wants me to put cookies in her hair!
I put some of this heavenly pudding on my hair after washing. I sectioned my hair and worked it through with about a teaspoon (more or less) on each section. Since I was going to be putting my hair in a ponytail, I went with a chunkier twist.
My scalp felt really sensitive so I was as gentle as possible. I did like using the smoothing method on each section of hair before I twisted.
The main reason I love the Burnt Sugar Pomade is because when I put in on my hair today, if I leave these twists in for 2 weeks (or longer) my hair is just as shiny, moisurized and condioned when I taken them down, as the day I put them in. It’s amazing. My hair will still smell like burnt sugar. It ma be a little faint, but it’s still there. I will admit…I also use their Frank Juice every other day for extra moisture so I know this helps:)
My hair smells so good right now I want to eat it! I must be close to cheat day…

Be You (Oyin Handmade Edition)
Product Junkies Unite!
After my big chop 2 years ago, one of the first product families I found that Lavish absolutely LOVED, was Oyin Handmade. Their Burnt Sugar Pomade is still my #1 Favorite product with their Whipped Pudding coming in not at #2 but #1a. Let me repeat…If I was being shipped to an exotic island for years of unlimited peace and relaxation never to return to the states again…I would pack Oyin Handmade’s Burnt Sugar Pomade (and pray that the mud there was as good as bentonite clay:)
In additon to their great products, Oyin has an AWESOME energy about it. The owners and their adorable kids, high energy and CRAZY videos show the actual ingredient of LOVE that is lovingly infused in each batch of goodness they deliver.
I was thinking about them this morning and stopped by their site to see what’s up. They have changed their web site and now offer bigger bottles (YES) and it looks like their back on YouTube.
For a dose of your daily inspiration, and to see another beautiful Goddess sharing wisdom, watch Dr. Adanna’s “Deep Conditioning” segment I like to call - BE YOU!
Love Lavish:)
